About Buddy
Buddy lives in Friendship Cottage, a warm and welcoming home in Whispering Woods where there is always room for one more friend.
He is a deep forest-green bear with a snowy-white muzzle and bright white foot pads. Buddy wears a smart burgundy-and-green tartan outfit, a matching bow tie and little wooden teddy-bear fastenings. A golden letter B decorates one of his ears.
Buddy is loyal, thoughtful and dependable. He enjoys meeting new people, but he understands that making friends can sometimes feel difficult. If somebody is shy or nervous, Buddy never rushes them. He offers a smile, starts a gentle conversation and gives them time to join in when they feel ready.
He believes good friendship means listening, sharing, keeping promises and apologising when something goes wrong. Buddy also knows that friends can enjoy different activities and have different opinions while still caring about one another.
When anyone feels excluded, Buddy finds a kind way to invite them into the group. His friendly wave often means, “There is a place here for you.”
