About Hugston
Hugston lives at the Emotibear Clubhouse in Whispering Woods. He welcomes every visitor with a cheerful wave, a friendly smile and, whenever wanted, one of his famous hugs.
He is a soft black bear with a cream muzzle, golden inner ears and sparkling gold paw pads. Hugston wears a shiny gold bow tie, glittery gold boots with black laces and a black top decorated with colourful emoji faces. Each emoji represents a different feeling.
Hugston is cheerful, caring and encouraging. As the official Emotibear Club mascot, he helps new members feel safe, welcome and included. He introduces members to the other Emotibears and guides them through the clubhouse’s stories, music, games, activities and adventures.
Although Hugston loves smiles, he understands that nobody feels happy all the time. He encourages us to recognise every emotion, talk to somebody we trust and offer kindness to friends having a difficult day.
Hugston believes a hug can mean many things: hello, well done, I missed you or I am here for you. He always asks before giving one because kindness includes respecting everyone’s choices.
