About Scowlington

Scowlington lives in Grumble Cottage, tucked away in a quiet corner of Whispering Woods. His scruffy navy-blue fur, serious expression and crossed eyebrows make him look grumpy – even when he is simply thinking!

Scowlington is clever, honest and wonderfully observant. He notices problems that other bears sometimes miss and likes creating sensible plans to solve them.

Loud noises, untidy rooms and unexpected changes can make him feel overwhelmed, so he occasionally needs some peaceful time alone.

Beneath his grumbles, Scowlington has a very caring heart. He may say, “Oh, bother!” while helping, but he will always stay until the job is finished. His best friend, Buddy, understands that Scowlington’s grumpiness does not mean he is unkind.

Scowlington teaches us that every emotion is important. Feeling angry or grumpy is perfectly normal, and calmly naming the feeling can help us understand what we need.

Message

Feel it, name it and share it with someone you trust.

Scowlington isn't grumpy for no reason — he's just honest about hard days. He teaches the club that it's OK to say "not today" and still be loved.
